Leg day. Ah, leg day. My hips were a little stiff and sore today after all the work in the garden this past weekend. I wasn’t sure how squats were going to go to be honest. I did a couple extra warm-up sets with just the bar and that seemed to help. By the time I got to my work sets everything was moving fine and I had no trouble meeting the reps from last week and the added set was right on target.

I rated my squats and leg curls at 0 this time. My hamstrings were a little sore as well from the gardening and between that soreness and really not wanting to push the leg volume up too much, I decided to err on the side of caution. I rated leg extensions and calf raises at +1 so their volume will go up some more.

    Workout:
  • Squat: 164 lbs x 11, 8, 8, 7>/li>
  • Single Leg Extension: 80 lbs x 12, 10, 8
  • Standing Leg Curl: 32 lbs x 15, 15, 13, 11, 10
  • Stair Calves: 56.5 lbs x 25, 23, 22, 19, 19, 17
