I was curious how this workout would go considering all the effort I spent in the garden yesterday.

The workout started fine and ended fine, but the middle was interesting. On the first set of bench press (3rd exercise of the day) I failed after 8 reps when I was shooting for 10. It is a good thing I had the safety bars set up or things could have gotten tricky. Or injurious.

The rest of the workout went fine. Because I failed on the first set, I rated all my chest exercises at 0 to keep volume from going up more. I’ll see how things go on Day 4 when these chest exercises come up again.

    Workout:
  • Incline Bench Press: 117 lbs x 15, 11, 8
  • Incline DB Flyes: 21.5 lbs x 19, 16, 12
  • Bench Press: 144 lbs x 8 (failed at 9), 7, 5
  • Assisted Dips: 13, 11, 11, 10, 9
  • 1-Arm DB Row: 48 lbs x 15, 11, 10, 10
  • Slant Board Situp: 16.5 lbs x 25, 15, 11, 10
