Hypertrophy 1 Meso, Week 3, Day 4

Almost to the end of week 3 and things are still going pretty well. Volume for all body parts is still going up both in terms of sets and reps. Relative and absolute intensity (reps in reserve and weight on the bar) are also becoming more difficult (higher weight, fewer reps in reserve).

Squats are up to five sets for day four and I’m debating whether to let the set volume continue to go up or hold to at 5 sets. This goes back to my wanting to avoid re-injuring my left thigh which so far is feeling pretty good. I guess I’ll wait and see how I feel on day 2 of week 4.

    Workout:
  • Bench Press: 140 lbs x 13, 9 , 9
  • Incline Dumbbell Flyes: 21 lbs x 17, 15, 12
  • Incline Bench Press: 115 lbs x 11, 9
  • Squat: 161 lbs x 11, 10, 9, 7, 7
  • Stair Calves: 54.5 lbs x 26, 21, 19, 18, 17, 15
  • Today’s workout was 19 work sets and 90 minutes long, up from 16 work sets over 78 minutes last week.
